Yes You Are!

In Luke 5:1-11, we read the story of Peter, James and John, who had a fishing business. They had just ended a long day of unproductive fishing; there nets were empty. Jesus came by, asked if He could teach the large crowd of people that had gathered on the shore from his boat, to which Peter granted.

Jesus then instructed him to drop his nets again. Peter's reply was we have fished all day and caught nothing. Despite their earlier efforts, he dropped his nets. What happened next was amazing!

The nets were so filled fish that they began to break and Peter called his partners James and John over to help. They filled both boats! Peter was so amazed by this miracle that he said to Jesus "Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord". He didn't feel worthy to receive.

Have you ever received so much that you didn't feel like you earned it? You didn't feel worthy of the increase? Like Peter, I myself feel that way many times. But here is the fantastic news - yes you are worthy! I don't believe in luck, I don't believe in chance. I believe that everything is designed or permitted to happen by God. I believe every day is a blessing and filled with many great blessings, as well as opportunities to learn and grow.

Believe that what you have and what you will receive is part of God's plan for you. Like a receiver to a quarterback, if you run the route as designed, you will catch God's blessings. Some will be a strike right into your hands. Some you will have to dodge some defenders and dive for. But most importantly, be on the field of play to receive what God has in store for you.

Yes you are worthy to receive!
