Yes, YOU can start a gallery-worthy collection
Listen, the art world can be intimidating at first. But, you don’t have to have a fine arts degree or a trust fund to start curating an amazing collection!
Here are 3 steps to make owning art more accessible:
1. Check out up-and-coming artists
If you’re looking for something in a certain style, don’t be afraid to check out the newcomers. It’s always better to own something you absolutely love by a lesser-known artist than to own something you’re not thrilled with by a famous artist.
2. Consider buying art reproductions
While it’s thrilling to own original works of art, art prints will look just as good on your walls. If your favorite artists’ works don’t quite fit your budget, consider buying a print from them. These are priced lower than originals, but they’re still valuable (especially if the edition is limited and if they're signed).
3. Attend art fairs, exhibits and shows?
Attending art fairs, exhibits and shows is a great way to meet artists, see pieces up close and network with fellow collectors. Chances are you’ll leave these events with new works of art and new friends!?
See, at Urevbu Contemporary we specialize in exhibiting emerging artists and providing their original art and reproductions to you, so building your art collection is never too far out of reach!
