Add COVID-19 — on top of integrating a new skillset, staying in recovery and returning to a living situation that may not be the right fit — and the world seems very scary.
Most states now have shelter-in-place requirements and for good reason. However, individuals CAN travel from state to state if there is a valid medical reason. There is nothing more valid than staying physically and emotionally healthy, continuing to strengthen treatment gains, and staying out of the pain and disappointment of relapse. That strategy happens best in an environment that is structured, caring, and clinically strong.
