Yes I Can Achieve by Dr. Manoj Kumar

Yes I Can Achieve by Dr. Manoj Kumar

Everyone reading this blog has probably had this burning thought: “I regret not doing that,” and based on this, you’ll find two groups: I call them the Levi’s and Armin’s (it’s an anime reference). The Levi’s decide to plow on with no regrets about their choices; which is hard, while the Armin’s have regrets but resolve to ensure erasing those regrets. If you are an Armin, then this blog is right up your alley.?

So, this blog is based on a book titled ‘Yes I Can Achieve’ by Dr. Manoj Kumar, who has a wealth of experience when it comes to mentoring people on the path of achievement. ?

In short, this is a self-improvement book, and it's all about unlocking the hidden potential imprisoned within your mind, so coming to how it solves the innate problem of having regrets, it's simple; it sets you on the path to success as an achiever who leads a more fulfilling and wholesome life.???

Brief overview

Coming to the book, I really like the narration style; it was palpable and lucid and is divided into easy-to-follow-parts. There are activities at the end of it to really help you in your self-introspection journey. If I have to put it in a concise manner,??

“Thus, piece by piece, he built a swimmer. And when he had perfected each piece, he put them together into an integrated whole.”??– Deep water, William Douglas?

?This book accomplishes that in three phases as given below:?

  • Forming the Mindset?
  • Knowing the Power
  • Implement to Succeed?

?Coming to each of the phases, I’ll be brushing over them.?

Forming the Mindset

  • It starts by clearing all the previous clutter that held you back and lays the foundation for success by giving a sneak peek into an achiever’s mindset and cultivating that same mindset in you.?

Knowing the Power

  • This phase is the most interesting one as it delves into the subconscious mind and its power to change one’s life on a dime if harnessed correctly and completely. This phase teaches you the power of setting goals and affirming them. ?

Implement to Succeed

  • This phase is brutal and exhaustingly honest in my opinion as it teaches you how to pedantically convert what you have read into actions that will bring a shift in your life while making it ridiculously clear that it won’t be a fairytale path with roses garnished on the sidewalk.?

My reaction to the book

So, my first reaction as always was to try it out and see if it works. (These are based on a 7-day period of me using them). ?

So, I finished reading the book in about 3 hours, and then I started planning in accordance with my learnings from it. I found following the “Knowing the Power” phase a bit difficult, but then again, I am not that great at sitting in one place. Further, I proceeded to write my goals and affirm them or in other terms, micromanage them. After seven days, I felt clear-headed and was able to finish my work on time as such; it was a huge improvement for me as I had always rushed to meet deadlines. The rest I feel, are long term goals that require continuous and religious dedication, something which I’ll try to keep up with. ?

And that concludes my review of ‘Yes I Can Achieve’ by Dr. Manoj Kumar. ?

Thanks, and have a good day!?
