The finches have arrived!

The initial design vision? Rustic elegance, perhaps a bit like Aspen in the fall. Preserving much of the 14 acre site with mature wooded wetlands, creating three new ponds, providing water views for almost all the apartments.

Very different. Most such communities are built right next to a busy road. At Anthem Lakes, it is more like life in a park. Where would you rather live: next to a highway, or next to a park?

Come visit. Experience the reaction virtually every visitor has -- whether professionals or potential residents or adult children looking for a better choice for their loved ones -- and the reaction is: wow. Wow, even before they come inside.

Because nature heals. Proved all the way back in 1984 when Roger Ulrich published his research concerning hospital recovery times varied significantly based on something as simple as having an outside window with a nature view. Reported on in the Wall Street Journal as recently as their May 8th edition. So the design vision was to bring nature inside in design, make it natural for residents to enjoy a park setting without busy traffic, provide sun porches and screened porches.

Then, something even more special for memory care. A single story building separate from assisted and independent. Varied ceiling heights, skylights. Most importantly, single loaded corridors. Not like a hotel, with units on both sides of a single hallway. Two hallways, creating an internal walking loop, allowing activity and common areas to be central and open and inviting.

Pet friendly. Not just a dog park, but also a pet grooming station. Great walking paths.

More? Sure. Lots more. Come see. Seeing is believing. Come see how much better senior housing can be.
