Yemen?Crew Change Policy Guidelines in Week 31?of 2022
According to the epidemic map of the global intelligent ship service management platform E-PORTS, under the influence of the new round of Omicron epidemic, the policies of Yemen?main?ports have been changed?on 27th July 2022

1. Are there any restrictions on vessels whose previous port call was from COVID -19 high risk countries?
? Sterilization is required before berthing in all Yemeni ports.
? Free Pratique/Health Dept. Inspection will be conducted before berthing; no?operation will be performed at anchorage or alongside without the green light from the quarantine authorities.

2.1 Crew Change permitted?
? Yes, but subject to the following conditions.
- Crew change is permitted after COVID-19 test and the report will be released within 12 hrs.
- The vessel will not be allowed to depart until the off-signer’s test results are released. The off-signer will need to stay on board until they receive the test report.

2.2 Shore leave permitted?
? No
HODEIDAH PORT
?
Crew Change permitted?:
? No, crew change not allowed as the airport is still not operational. Crew Medical visit is subject to authorities approval and inspection.
?
3. Any other restrictions due to COVID - 19?
? Circular to all owners and tenants of ships arriving in the port of Hodeidah by sending a statement of the body temperatures list at least 24 hours before the ship arrives.
? The quarantine office should be notified of a list of the sailors joining the ship and from which port the ship was boarded a month ago before connecting it to the port.
? Preventing any person from boarding the ship, supplying or taking samples before contacting the quarantine office in the port and working on taking the necessary health measures for that.
? In the event that there is any patient (with a non-epidemic disease) on the ship, the quarantine employee is informed of this by letter and attach a copy of the final report to know the hospital that assisted in and the diagnosis and treatments he took.
? The quarantine office must be notified at the port in the event of arrival, departure or exchange of sailors.

2.1 Crew Change permitted?
"? Yes, but subject to the following conditions.
- Crew change is permitted after COVID-19 test and the report will be released within 12 hrs.
- The vessel will not be allowed to depart until the off-signer’s test results are released. The off-signer will need to stay on board until they receive the test report.
- Nearest operational airports are Seiyun airport (281km) and Aden airport (545km)"

3. Any other restrictions due to COVID - 19?
? No person should be allowed to embark on board the vessels at the hangers or wharves except those personnel having concern with the work.

? The Crew members of the vessel should not be allowed to go out of the port except in emergency cases and after making the arrangements according to what is referred to in the minutes of the previous meeting.
? The Shipping Agent of the vessel shall, in addition to the previously required
documents, add a statement describing the location from where the crew embarked on board the vessel or the location from where the crew came to the vessel especially if a change is made in the crew members.
