This year, start where the sky begins.

This year, start where the sky begins.

2025: Bigger dreams, louder laughs, and deeper joy.

In 2025,

For everyone looking for a job:

You are not unemployed.

You are unleashed.

You are not lost.

You are in transit.

Be bold enough to knock.

Remember: rejection isn’t a failure.

It’s proof you dared to try.

?

For those who overthink everything:

Stop trying to be the sun.

Sometimes, being the moon is enough.

Soft light. Quiet glow.

Still a force of nature.

?

Call your mom.

Not because it’s a duty,

But because her voice is home.

Forgive that one friend.?

Forgive that one heartbreak.

You swore you’d carry forever.

?

Don’t just see. Notice.

Notice how mornings smell like hope,

How the city hums with dreams at midnight.

Notice how mornings taste like promise,

Notice the way someone says your name

And how your own voice feels

When you speak softly to yourself.

Notice how the wind feels against your skin,

as if it’s reminding you that you’re alive,

and that’s enough.

?

Skip the resolutions this time.

Say “I love you” more than once.

Like it’s the only sentence that matters,

Love loudly, like the universe is watching.

Cry so loud that the stars come closer.

Mess up. Laugh. Start again.

?

Pause at sunsets.

Stand still long enough to hear your heartbeat.

To remember it’s been keeping you alive through it all.

Be the one who slows down

The one who listens to the music between words,

and the one who holds the hug two seconds longer.

Love deeply. Live fully.

?

This year, take the long road home.

Listen to songs you’ve outgrown.

And let them remind you of who you once were,

And how far you’ve come.

This year, don’t just grow. Stretch.

And maybe, just maybe,

Stop checking your phone every 3 minutes.

Reach the parts of yourself

you thought were out of bounds.

?

This year, let yourself fall.

Fall in love. Fall apart.

Fall into something.?

So impossibly big you can’t see where it ends.

Because here’s the thing about falling:

You don’t always hit the ground.

Sometimes, you discover you’ve had wings all along.

?

Write the poem you’ve been too scared to start.

Quit the job that steals your spirit.

Forgive someone, not because they deserve it,

But because you do.

And above all, Be unapologetically you.

?

Here are two secrets no one tells you:

The life you want isn’t a dream.

It’s a decision.

It's not waiting for you.

It’s already looking for you.

And time isn’t passing by. You are.?

Happy 2025.

I love this. I wish I could download it to be able to reread it throughout the year. I hate that about LI. You cannot extract and save stuff! Great poem. Thank you.
