A Year in Review: PJN's Key Milestones

As 2023 draws to close, I’d like to reflect on the year that had its fair share of challenges but also had amazing moments of triumphs. In no particular order, here’s what made 2023 a milestone year for PayJustNow .???

??I am thrilled to announce that we celebrated a monumental milestone at PayJustNow – we officially reached 1 million customer sign ups. What makes me even happier, is that 75% of these customers have returned after their initial purchase, showcasing just how much they love BNPL.? This achievement was further highlighted by a record-breaking Black Friday weekend where we more than doubled merchant transaction value in comparison to 2022.???

??We’ve worked with some amazing new brands, adding to our base of more than 2.5k best-in-class retailers and now have over 8k online and in-store touchpoints. Our top merchant partners saw a 76% increase in comparative sales from 2022 to 2023. I’m extremely grateful to all the merchants, new and old, who have and continued to place their trust in PayJustNow .?

??We won the Best BNPL Service Initiative at the 2023 Global Payments Innovation Awards, introduced selfie technology as part of our app security measures, revamped our merchant portal and launched our Deals page (with over 270k daily impressions). ??We also celebrated our 4th birthday!??

I’d like to say a huge thank you to our merchants, customers and the PayJustNow team. Without all of you, PayJustNow wouldn't be where we are, changing the lives of South African consumers, one basket at a time.???

And while 2023 was big, next year will be even bigger! I can't say too much but what I can say is… Watch this space! ???
