Year in review: 2023's Milestones

As 2023 comes to a close, it’s impressive to look at how generative AI has become a part of our daily lives, especially considering it was all new just a year ago.

This year, despite the ongoing economic challenges and the full-scale war in Ukraine, we've seen growth in our European & Ukrainian offices. Like in 2022, our support for Ukraine's economy and volunteers continued when it was needed most.

Let's look back at some key moments from 2023.

Think Business

We focused on a deeper understanding of our clients' businesses before proposing technical solutions. We prioritized face-to-face meetings with current partners and also promised to meet in person within two days if a potential partner showed interest.

Our investment in industry knowledge included attending 12 tech events to gain insights into the manufacturing and healthcare sectors.

Maryna, our account manager, has been especially active, with 4 business trips, 3 industry event participations, and an attendance at New York Tech Week (more here).

Overall, the team made 9 business trips to the US and EU, emphasizing the importance of personal interaction.

The business development team, including Maryna Chut ???? , Andrew Tyutyunnyk , Oleksandr Telychko & Taras Vusyatytskyy secured 32 new deals. Great job, everyone!

Team Growth

Our senior staff grew by 45%, bringing in fresh perspectives and expertise. Our overall team size increased by 19%, allowing us to offer more services and various tech audits.

Charity: CodeIT4life Foundation

In 2023, our foundation continued to support the people of Ukraine and the defense forces:

• Under the 'Safe Ukrainian Childhood' project, we opened 4 children's spaces that have been visited by 8,242 children, providing safe environments for traditional events and celebrations.
• Evacuated 221 families from frontline areas.
• Purchased an armored ambulance for wounded soldiers and medics.
• Provided 54 civilian drones such as Mavic 3.
• Delivered 752 tons of humanitarian aid.

AI Achievements

2023 was a landmark year for generative AI in our industry. Our tech team embraced these new opportunities, and together with our lawyers, developed comprehensive guidelines for AI integration in our projects. This is something we plan to actively continue in 2024.

This year, our focus on integration played a crucial role in one of our partners securing two significant long-term contracts for them—one with a major hospital network and another with an extensive network of medical laboratories. This achievement sets the stage for substantial business growth and team expansion in 2024.

In another exciting development, a smaller project that we were working on was acquired by a leading healthcare insurance company in the US. This acquisition marks the fifth time one of projects has been acquired by a major company, with two previous acquisitions by private enterprises and three by public ones. These acquisitions not only underscore the value of our work but also provide us with deeper insights into the healthcare industry.

Looking Ahead

In January 2024, together with the team we'll finalize our strategic planning. Of course our main focus is and will be "thinking business before coding it."
