A year in reflection.

It seems like an appropriate time to record my reactions to the bizarre circumstances that have affected all our lives during the past year. It’s hard to come to terms with the wide-ranging experiences that both myself and others have gone through over the past seventeen months or so. Listening to friends, family, respected peers and industry confidantes and colleagues, it is plainly apparent that most of us have endured a monumental rollercoaster ride in our careers and lifestyles. So much has changed and we’ve had to adapt, evolve and learn new ways to approach a myriad of challenges.
We can only hope that the experiences, endured and, occasionally, enjoyed during the pandemic have enabled us to grow wiser, stronger, to show more empathy and be more resourceful - and that this progress has been achieved whilst we have looked out for those around us, lending an ear, offering a shoulder to lean on for support and counsel or simply just having an output to vent our emotions.
On reflection, a year and a half down the line, the array of industries and disciplines I’ve supported and worked on still surprises me. What follows is a summary of the products, services, industries, organisations and brand offerings I’ve had the utmost pleasure to support and advise.
All this, and I nearly forgot to mention, I went back to night school to study and further my skills on the topic of leadership in business. Why? Well, why not? It’s never too late to learn something new. The pandemic and LinkedIn announcement posts from my network have shown us that you can reimagine and start an entirely new venture.

-?Corporate cleaning technology for inside and outside of city Skyscrapers. Essentially it’s Covid-19 proofing for the safe return to the office. If you so choose to do so.

-?Blockchain technology for building decentralised apps.
-?Charitable foundation supporting open-source technology development.
-?Open-source, decentralised social media and tokenised reward platform.
-?Advertising industry trade body with a focus on the next generation of talent.
-?Equestrian-based branded content and sponsorships world.
-?Broadcaster sports rights holders with global events to boot - getting people back in person to support entertainment, culture and sport.
-?Grassroots non-league football club with community endeavours at its heart.
-?Finance platform designed to help local communities without financial support to achieve sustainable development with their own resources, including mining and minerals.
-?APAC-focused audio and visual communications publisher focussed on digital transformation.
-?Global Influencer networks connecting brands with creators.
-?Conservation charity and foundation carrying out valuable research projects into critically endangered animals.?Community-based rainforest education, conservation and reforestation programme studies.?

-?Short-form, cross-platform, social media creative content.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to read the list. It was not written to boast about my exploits, but to outline that our skills, knowledge and expertise are transferable. Do not pigeonhole your talent, experience, life skills and personal capabilities. Covid has shown us that there are entirely new ways to approach hurdles and life’s unknown challenges. Be inquisitive, speak and engage with people you never even considered approaching. What do you really have to lose by doing so? Challenge yourself to be better, stronger, smarter and, most importantly, happier.
