A year of progress and momentum

As the year draws to a close, I reflect on our journey – a journey made possible by the unwavering support of our customers, investors, and partners. Your trust and collaboration have been invaluable. We’re in this together.

But more than anything, I want to thank our global team of over 100 remarkable individuals who truly embody the spirit of SafeAI, Inc. Their hard work and commitment are the lifeblood of SafeAI, and I am immensely proud to have all of them on our team.?

Six years ago, I founded SafeAI with a clear and ambitious vision: to accelerate the world’s transition to autonomous construction and mining. Today, that vision remains steadfast, and we are several significant steps closer to making it a reality.

As with any start-up, our progress has not been without a few setbacks along the way, and what’s made us stronger is our ability to preserve and overcome every challenge we have faced. I’m proud to reflect on some of our biggest accomplishments and milestones from 2023 and to share them here.

Company Growth:

• We celebrated our 6th anniversary and hit 100 full-time employees across our four global offices— a testament to our success and growth.?

Dedication to Safety:?

• Our SafeAI Autonomous Framework (SAF) was awarded the ASIL D certification, the highest safety integrity level in the industry. This is a great achievement for the industry and our team, and a reflection of the rigorous safety protocols and workflows that are integral to our autonomous vehicle technology.?
• We published our first comprehensive Safety Report this year. This document is more than just a collection of safety protocols; it's an overview of how we develop and deploy our autonomous vehicle technology, with safety as a paramount concern.?

First-of-its-Kind Achievements:?

• We successfully retrofitted and operated a 25-ton Haul Truck and an industrial Dozer, working together autonomously and driverless at a construction site.?
• In collaboration with Obayashi, we unveiled the world’s first retrofitted Autonomous + Electric Drive Train vehicle, marking a significant stride towards zero-emission goals in heavy industry.

Customer Momentum

• We achieved feature completion on our autonomous mining truck with our Australia customer, setting the stage for ramped up production in early 2024.
• We're expanding into the quarry use case with CRH, a globally diversified building materials company. It represents a strategic step forward in our operational landscape and showcases the versatility and adaptability of our autonomous solutions in various industry settings.

We are closer to our vision than ever before. Our team is united by this shared purpose and the excitement of working on autonomous technology. As we enter the year 2024, our goal is to carry forward our momentum, passion, and commitment to making a difference. Here are just a few highlights to expect from SafeAI in the coming year:

• Deploy 6-12 haul trucks in Mining operations to move production dirt. This is a zero-to-one step in any autonomous development, and we are extremely excited about it.
• Plan and ramp up 25 Ton and 35 Ton autonomous trucks in Construction production.
• Expand our solution into a Quarry operation.
