A year-long at Let's Learn Africa
As I think about how a year-long has been at Let's Learn Africa, the two repeated thoughts are it has been both eventful and purposeful. Our reach at the secondary school level has helped build some solid relations. The authorities and students at these schools have given us a warm welcome that has solidified our focus further on facilitating a strong foundation. Working with the secondary schools gave us the firm conviction that " secondary is our primary."
Secondary school students head to colleges in just few years to face this unprecedented reality that they have both the academic workload but also the parallel quest for part time jobs to support their needs. We recognize the need to jump-start the process such that the seamless transition happens and better yet that they graduate with all the confidence to handle the requirements of the workforce. Developing the willingness to learn and the readiness to add value is absolutely essential early on. From our experience, we have observed that students are eager to learn when we train them very much alongside their school curriculum. Before long, we see that tilling this fertile ground of learning makes them keen on continuing the learning process.
" Be Job Ready" to us means Jumpstart the opportunity onboarding. Opportunities may come knocking but you got to answer the door. Our rich resources are people. We collaborate with schools, colleges and companies to create experiences. Experience, expertise and etiquette are not sudden occurrences.
It brings immense happiness to see the eager countenances of the students that are eager to partake the enrichment and we want to be there for them. The workshops and events we conduct are towards providing the confidence, conviction and competencies needed to be job ready.
We are ready for yet another wonderful year and many more of these years to come.
