A year later...

We're officially one year old this week and we've thought about all the beautiful and wonderful ideas we could have put out, messages we could deliver and posters we could plaster all over LinkedIn and Facebook, but instead, the anniversary day came and went without much noise by us. Truth is, we were too busy with our day to day, to even get round to putting anything more than a tongue in cheek post by Sean about the football.

I wanted to do something though; we're not, nor have we ever been, social media gurus who have a desire to have hundreds of shares and thousands of likes on a post. We're a little too old to be bothered by that. First I thought, I wanted to share what our first year has really been like. All the challenges, all the fun and all the success. If this article helps you make the leap to doing this gig for yourself, then job done, in my eyes. I got about 4 paragraphs in and realised, I'm just waffling away and probably not giving any value to anyone.

So this is my Thank You to all those who have been part of our journey this first 12 months. Thank You to the candidates and clients who chose to work with the little guy. Thank You to all those who were involved in setting us up, supporting us through the early stages and dealing with our stupid questions. Thank You even to those of you who said it won't work out. You've driven me and Sean further than we thought we could go.

Two years ago, stuck in traffic on the M6 for the gazzilionth time, we decided enough was enough and we could do this for our selves, make more money, spend more time with the family and do recruitment the way we think it should be done. Here we are now in July 2018, having had a year under our belts, with a turnover higher than forecasted, profitable and growing. So Thank You.

Here's to building a legacy, not just another recruitment business.
