Year-in-Review: Do Tank Health
With 2025 on the horizon, we want to take a step back and reflect on this past year in healthcare. From strategy to equity to quality improvement, we’ve worked on solutions for a diverse range of challenges in the healthcare sector: Behavioral health, adverse drug events, opioids, vaccines, sepsis, health data, racial health equity, maternal health, and more. None of our projects would have been possible without our partners and clients, who gave us the opportunity to be on the front lines of such important work. In celebration of this past year, we would like to highlight a few of the many projects we’re proud of.?
The 2024 Missouri Community Forums Report on Maternal Health?
This year, in partnership with the Missouri Perinatal Quality Collaborative (MO PQC) and Missouri Hospital Association (MHA), we drove to all four corners of Missouri to conduct community based research in maternal health deserts. This research was facilitated through a series of Community Forums that engaged diverse stakeholders, including but not limited to administrators, providers, EMS, doulas, midwives, and mothers. Community Forums strategically spanned four separate regions and were held in four of the biggest maternal health deserts in the state: Miner, Chillicothe, Hannibal, and Joplin. This work culminated in the collection of over two thousand data points and the creation of the 2024 Missouri Community Forums Report on Maternal Health, which was socialized at MO PQCs fall webinar and will be used to guide future programming for maternal health deserts in Missouri.?
Thank you to MO PQC, MHA, and all our Community Forum participants who made this work possible!
The Racial Health Equity Hub
2024 was a year of innovation for the Racial Health Equity Hub. The Progress Report and Hub, founded in 2020 in partnership with Rush and UChicago Medicine and funded by the Commonwealth Fund, was expanded and elevated this year with the release of version 2 of the hub. We introduced a brand new UX design and transitioned the hub to be public facing. In addition, we opened registration for the Racial Health Equity Academy, a 10 month program that will launch in January 2025.

We would like to commend all our partners and participating organizations for their time and effort in this work. We look forward to growing this mission further in 2025!?
Strategic Planning
We spent the better part of this year working with hospitals, associations (state/national/regional), QIOs and community based partners on strategic plans. Strategic planning has always been at the heart of what we value and deliver as a boutique firm in the healthcare space. Too often this process is relegated to a handful of leaders locking themselves in a boardroom for a couple of days to charter the path forward. We love embracing our human-centered approach to strategic planning and to bringing all voices within an organization, state or region into the conversation. If you have a strategic planning remit in front of you for 2025, reach out to us and let us share what our approach might be!?
We thank our partners for this opportunity and look forward to expanding our strategy work with as we head into 2025! Take a quick look here at what our engagements typically look and feel like: https://sha.dotankdo.com/executive-strategy-sessions/
These three only scratch the surface of the breadth of projects we’ve gotten to work on this year, and we would like to thank all our inspiring partners and clients for everything they do. Here’s to an even brighter year ahead!?
Happy Holidays,?
