A Year of Impact: Happy Holidays!

A message from our founder.

The holiday season is officially upon us. As we slow down and prepare to head into the new year, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude.

Each and every year presents new challenges and growth opportunities to continue investing in the skin cancer community. Since the company’s inception in 2019, we’ve made it our mission to not only be a clothing brand but also a sun-safe resource and voice advocating for education, awareness, and policy changes.

A year of impact.

I am thrilled to share that thanks to your support, we were able to donate just under $1,000 to foundations and other worthy causes this year.

This year was our second year supporting Sofia’s Hope. Funds raised at this event support pediatric cardio-oncology research at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.

This year was also our third year supporting Martha’s Market in my hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia. Martha’s Market supports women and their families in the fight against breast cancer at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.

A year of education.

In 2024, we shared 32 episodes of the Ultraviolet Tide podcast, with featured guests including Stephanie Kauffman from the Melanoma Research Alliance, Danet Peterson from A Cure in Sight, and many melanoma warriors brave enough to share their stories. We also launched a brand-new monthly segment with Leah Adams, the Top 5 on the Tide.

A year of innovation.

In February, we launched our spring collection of premium activewear featuring compression wear technology optimized to increase athletic performance. We searched high and low for this innovation and found a UPF 50+ solution that utilizes 78% recycled textiles made from ocean waste.
