Year of Global Comms Navigation

TONIC Media Partners 2023 Year-End Summary; Risk & Compliance, Logistics, AI/ML Memory and Energy Consumption Tech, Climate Justice, Justice Access, TMP International Expansion News

TONIC Media Partners (TMP) communications consultants experienced an extraordinary 2023, having the honor of continuing to serve clients through our unique blend of narrative intelligence, media relations and collaborative communications strategy that prioritizes quality content creation, thought leadership, news/editorial relationship development and the impact of upstream earned media.

From the beginning of the year we worked with Risk & Compliance subject matter experts focusing on the regulations, risks to business finances and reputations associated with global sanctions enacted from the Russo-Ukraine conflict, which included the war’s impact on Global Food Insecurity. We also delivered guidance and analysis on the need for international businesses to continue doing business in Mexico and South America, despite the myriad of ongoing corruption and illegal influences. Through strategic narrative development, this same group of Global Data Risk consultants provided valuable content updating the importance and nuances of managing and investing in Company Risk Culture Assessment, also examining a Human-First Approach to Minimizing Insider Threat - well worth considering by the global C-suite, in the new era of AI.

From midyear we were thrilled to participate in the early stages for the launch of Logistics innovator Gently. The organization’s commitment to building inroads to expand and democratize the future of last-mile delivery is set to disrupt and help to redefine guidelines for global supply chain management. This includes providing first-ever micro fulfillment, sustainable delivery combined solutions, in concert with unique service and product partners. This work both challenged and further enhanced TMPs media-relevant relationship expertise and also allowed for our creative readiness to flourish throughout real time news cycles, while leveraging narrative-driving consulting techniques.

In the midst of thriving clientele diversity, TMP also re-entered the SaaS Enterprise space, pivoting from its Cybersecurity expertise in support of a revolutionary stand-alone software solution, KOVE:SDM, addressing the memory utilization and global energy consumption challenges presented by the explosive growth of AI/ML (Machine Learning). The team behind this solution are also founders of an open source research AI community that entered into a game-changing partnership announced at COP 28 in partnership with the UN Climate Change Technology Executive Committee (TEC), to identify and support the development of AI-powered solutions for climate action in developing countries.

As part of planned international expansion, TMP participated in Hague Justice Week 2023, in the Netherlands against the backdrop of the World Criminal Courts, which was attended by lawyers, academics, students, Chief Justices from Africa, delegations from Asia and Latin America, and journalists from twelve different countries who gathered in The Hague to engage in meaningful conversations.

This year's theme, "Making Impact," reflected the pressing challenges to peace in 2023, prompting justice professionals to adopt approaches that promote peaceful and inclusive societies through enhanced access to justice. The discussions focused on ensuring that efforts to improve access to justice have tangible effects at local, national, and international levels.

The event served as a platform for collaboration among rule of law practitioners, legal experts, scientists, journalists, and entrepreneurs from The Hague and around the world.

TMP plans to open its EU offices in The Hague some time in 2024. In addition to cross-border?and international strategic communications offerings, TMP will focus on supporting transparent partnerships and cause-related projects between public and private enterprises, Climate-relevant NGOs and nonprofits.

At its core TMP consultants are newsroom insiders, continuing to maintain strategic and meaningful ties with newsrooms across the world. Client and partnership work always begins at the intersection of messaging, storytelling and technology, with an emphasis on entrepreneurial, agile approaches to the role communications plays in and for any organization.?

This approach is guided and shaped by more than 20 years of news gathering, editorial, media relations, corporate communications and public relations experience distilling complex technology concepts, business strategies and industry trends into compelling media campaigns.

TMP is also a proponent for the practice of both Data and Structured Journalism - that is, the practice of analyzing data to unearth new stories, and the turning of one’s reporting into data that can be repurposed in any number of ways. The organization is driven by projects that involve better understanding how media relations and the power of didactic communications experiences can positively impact and influence relationships critical to the type of journalism, news gathering and business communication required by highly informed, deeply engaged citizenry.??

Thanks to all clients and partners for their trust, support and collaboration in 2023. We look forward to a stunning and productive 2024!

Sincerely

CJ Martinez
