A Year of Events, Connections, and Community at ThinCats
As we approach the close of another incredibly busy year, it’s worth reflecting on the exceptional events that ThinCats has had the privilege of hosting, organising, attending, and sponsoring. With nearly 100 events across the UK in 2024, we've had the opportunity to connect with finance professionals in every corner of the country – from Belfast to Edinburgh, Southampton to Newcastle.
Our events this year have spanned a wide range of formats, including awards ceremonies, roundtables, panel discussions, and more, offering unique opportunities to connect with industry professionals. Some of the standout highlights included our North West team having an inaugural tasting tour around Belfast, where we explored local food, drinks, and history with a group of finance professionals.
Our Yorkshire & North East team also enjoyed an adventurous speedboat tour of Loch Lomond under clear blue skies, providing a memorable experience for networking with colleagues and partners. Additionally, our roundtables and private dining events across cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, York, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, Birmingham, and London facilitated insightful conversations on key industry trends and challenges.
Our year also featured opportunities for hands-on learning and unique experiences, including an educational SAS training session in Fitzrovia for our London team, which provided valuable industry insights and skill development. We also embraced distinctive events like a nose-to-tail butchery and barbecue experience in Cheshire and golf trips that showcased the best of Irish hospitality. These diverse events allowed us to foster valuable discussions, deepen relationships within the finance community, and offer engaging experiences for professionals across the UK.
Each event is designed to allow for valuable discussions centred around key issues facing our industry, keeping informed of challenges our partners face and hearing about plans for the future. These events also enable us to strengthen relationships within our local professional finance communities, alongside promoting networking opportunities across the regions.
The schedule of events for 2025 is looking just as full and diverse, and we look forward to meeting and engaging with the professional finance community, and meeting new and old faces, again next year!
