A Year-End Update from Ergodomus

A Year-End Update from Ergodomus

As the year draws to a close, we at Ergodomus reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had in 2023. This has been a year of significant growth for us. Our team has expanded, allowing us to tackle new challenges and push the boundaries of what we can achieve. At the same time we cannot deny that some challenges have pushed us to leave our comfort zone. Bringing the company to a new level undoubtedly involves important challenges and often even difficulties.

What allowed us to face all these challenges in the best possible way was certainly our ability to embrace change and adapt, analyzing and implementing the best. We thrive on innovation, actively seeking unexpected, unique, and creative solutions to overcome difficulties and elevate our outputs.

For this structure, due to our innate commitment to timber as a building material, we even created several timber elements that proved us one more time how amazing is timber! Check in the picture below how our timber columns played a crucial role in overcoming buckling!

A bigger, greater Ergodomus Team

As mentioned before, beyond the new software, plugins and updates, the extra edge that allowed us to face certain types of challenges was the people. The increase in our team size has empowered us to take on more diverse and ambitious projects that you have probably seen in recent newsletters or on LinkedIn (if not, do not worry, we’re going to talk about them below)!

Projects in Progress and Completed Milestones

On the project front, we can easily say that 2023 has been an incredible year. Some of the biggest projects we have worked on over the years have finally come to life. Some of them have reached successful conclusions, showcasing the dedication and expertise of our team and others are now in a “Work in Progress” phase.

We can’t wait to show you what’s cooking for next year, but in the meantime, in our portfolio, you can see numerous projects that demonstrate what we know how to do!

Last but not least, we are extremely proud to say that through our dedication to timber projects, we’ve played a pivotal role in sequestering thousands of tons of CO2, contributing significantly to environmental sustainability.

Sharing knowledge with technical articles

Throughout the year, we dedicated substantial effort and energy to curating a rich collection of technical articles. These articles were written and shared not just to inform but to offer readers a distinctive perspective and cover topics that are not only interesting but also profoundly useful.

In 2024 we aim to contribute even more to the community's wealth of knowledge and foster a deeper understanding of the construction industry, timber structures, and integrated digital technologies.

Connecting at Industry Events

Throughout the year, we’ve actively participated in various super interesting and stimulating events. We always pay particular attention to physical events, where we can participate in person, meet experts, friends and clients. Over the course of the year we traveled a lot to participate in all kinds of events which not only allowed us to stay at the forefront of industry trends but have also provided valuable networking opportunities.

Here below you can deepen more about numerous events we took part in! If you were there too but we did not have a chance to meet, do not hesitate to contact us, we’ll be glad to have a meeting with you!

You can see the entire list of events we took part in here: https://www.ergodomus.it/news-en/

DfMAy 2023 – II edition: A Successful Event

In May, we had the pleasure of hosting for the second time our own conference on DfMA. The turnout exceeded our expectations, and the shared enthusiasm for our work was truly inspiring.

The speakers’ inspiring presentations had a great impact on the whole conference and the knowledge and experiences shared gave to the audience a valid overview of the future of sustainable building practices.

If you missed it or want to relieve the event do not worry, we got your back!

DfMAy 2024 – III edition

Following the success of the second edition we started working on the next edition (the third) investigating on the theme and format! Some great news that will make the third edition even more engaging and innovative are on the way and we can’t wait to share it with you.

If you want to be part of the panel of speakers who make this event an interesting pool of knowledge, contact us and tell us what you would like to talk about: any innovative topic is welcome!

We also took part to a podcast

What would 2023 have been like if we hadn’t taken part in a podcast? Podcasts are now fundamental channels (and will become increasingly important and sector-specific in the years to come) for sharing points of view and knowledge.

Our director, Franco, had the privilege of being hosted for an engaging discussion with Craig Applegath, the founding partner of DIALOG and Leadership Chair at The Mass Timber Institute. Their conversation spanned a variety of topics, delving into the sustainability features of mass timber.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas

Now that you had a fast but complete overview of what our year looked like, we would like to take a moment to thank all of you that supported us and wish you. May this holiday season bring you joy, warmth, and well-deserved moments of rest.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a fantastic New Year filled with success and fulfillment.

Thank you again for being part of our journey. Here’s to a wonderful 2024!
