Year-End Reflection
As I mentioned in my post at the end of March (https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/how-effectively-structure-own-life-dmitry-sivov-dsxgf/?trackingId=8hbuQ%2F6mSlmqN4BA0Z0WjA%3D%3D), I conduct regular reflection sessions to check my progress. One of the best times for this exercise is the month of December, when you can spend weekends enjoying a hot coffee, lying under a plaid, and taking a moment to think through the events and emotions of the current year: career development, business ventures, new relationships - in short, everything that was important to you and shaped your context.
To increase the quality of my reflections, I divide the process into four narrower cycles:
When it comes to cold, hard numbers, I can assess this year as quite successful. Our household equity grew by 38%, significantly outpacing inflation rates in the Eurozone. A small portion of this growth came from investments, marking a shift in my paradigm: from spending money on lifestyle (house, car, leisure, etc.) to creating assets that grow equity and generate cash flows - some of which can be used for lifestyle expenses.
Many insights, best practices, and even a few failures (with lessons learned) will be shared soon. I highly recommend everyone to go through a similar reflection process at the end of 2024, and I look forward to reading similar posts from my contacts.
