As I look back on 2024, I see a journey shaped by moments of alignment, connection, and intentional growth. Each step was fueled by my CliftonStrengths? guiding me toward thriving, not just surviving. Here’s a glimpse of how my strengths came alive this year:
1st Quarter - ?? Contributing to ECO Canada’s Training Initiatives (Communication?, Learner?, Relator?)
During a 4-month contract with ECO Canada, I had the opportunity to design impactful training courses, including building a standout LinkedIn profile, using DiSC profiles in customer service, and introducing CliftonStrengths Discovery to the environmental sector’s training initiatives. I was inspired and learned so much from my manager, and I also experienced a meaningful first: my first blood donation in Canada, shared with my colleagues! This experience reflected my Learner? drive to grow and adapt, my Relator? strength in forming meaningful connections, and my Communication? talent in delivering engaging and effective contributions.
1st Quarter - ?? Following My First Boy Band World Tour (Positivity?, Ideation?, Activator?)
For the first time in my life, I supported a HK Boy Band’s World Concert Tour (Mirror), flying to Toronto and paying for an expensive ticket to watch them live. It was a surreal and unforgettable experience! My Positivity? celebrated the joy, my Ideation? saw the value in pursuing new adventures, and my Activator? took the leap to make it happen. I bought the concert ticket and flight ticket immediately when I saw they were available online. When opportunity knocks, I remind myself not to miss it!
2nd Quarter - ?? Teamwork and Alignment (Belief?, Connectedness?, Arranger?)
Moving homes (again!) after just a year taught me the beauty of shared purpose. My husband and I aligned quickly, strategized every detail, and embraced this change as a team. This second home has already brought us deeper connections and cherished visits from loved ones. It reaffirmed my Belief? in trusting the process and my Connectedness? in seeing how every decision brought us closer to a meaningful outcome.
2nd Quarter - ?? A Sweet New Addition (Positivity?, Developer?)
Welcoming our kitten, Nono, into the family was a pure delight. Her joyful spirit lights up our days, reminding me of the power of small moments. My Developer? talent saw her as an opportunity to nurture and grow, while my Positivity? celebrated the simple happiness she brings to our lives.
Starting in the 2nd Quarter - ?? Commitment to Health and Wellness (Activator?, Adaptability?, Significance?)
Joining the YMCA and consistently attending Yoga, Zumba, and Cycle Strength classes revitalized me. My Activator? helped me take action on my health goals, Adaptability? kept me flexible in my approach, and Significance? inspired me to prioritize a healthy lifestyle as part of my legacy.
3rd Quarter - ?? Achieving ICF PCC Credential (Focus?, Strategic?, Self-Assurance?)
Achieving this professional milestone was a journey of persistence and strategy. It wasn’t just about earning a credential – it was about honoring my commitment to growth. Strategic? helped me plan my study journey, Focus? drove me to stay disciplined and prioritize my preparation amidst other responsibilities, and Self-Assurance? gave me the confidence to overcome challenges. This milestone not only deepened my coaching skills but also expanded my coaching business, thanks to the uplifting support of my coaching buddies.
3rd Quarter onwards - ?? Expanding Coaching Connections Globally (Woo?, Connectedness?, Significance?)
This year, I expanded my connections with coaches across different niches worldwide. The rich sharing and support from coaching communities near and far (despite time zone challenges, haha!) inspired me deeply. My Woo? thrived on building new relationships, my Connectedness? reminded me of our shared purpose, and Significance? guided me to learn strategies for growing my coaching business.

Starting in the 3rd Quarter - ??? Joining Fish Creek Bravehearts Toastmasters Club (Communication?, Woo?, Relator?)
Continuing my Toastmasters journey and finding the right club was a fantastic step toward further honing my communication and leadership skills. My Woo? thrived on building new connections, Relator? deepened my sense of belonging, and Communication? allowed me to shine in meaningful storytelling. So happy to have my Club members supported me delivery a Workshop themed “Vocal Variety”.
Throughout the year - ?? Consistency in Reading and Gratitude Journaling (Belief?, Responsibility?, Maximizer?)
Daily reading and journaling have been transformative. Writing a gratitude journal shifted my perspective toward abundance (Belief?), while consistent reading reflected my Responsibility? to personal growth and my Maximizer? talent in striving for excellence in everything I do.
Throughout the year - ?? Consistency and Fulfillment in Writing (Communication?, Positivity?, Significance?)
Writing weekly LinkedIn posts like “Motivational Strengths Monday,” “Transformational Coaching Tuesday,” and “Fearless Friday” brought deep fulfillment. Sharing my insights allowed my Communication? to shine, my Positivity? to uplift others, and my Significance? to focus on meaningful impact.
Throughout the year - ?? Giving Back Through Volunteering (Includer?, Connectedness?, Empathy?)
Mentoring newcomers to Calgary at CRIEC allowed my Includer? to ensure they felt welcomed, my Connectedness? to guide them in their journey, and my Empathy? to truly understand their challenges. Volunteering this year brought humility and gratitude. Contributing to the Field of Crosses organised by St. Mary's University on Veterans Day was a deeply touching experience that honored those who served.
4th Quarter - ?? Rest and Recharge Through Travel (Connectedness?, Input?, Empathy?)
Exploring Florida and New Orleans with my loved one was a joyful recharge. Learning about the history and culture fed my Input?, experiencing kindness from Airbnb hosts and Uber drivers reinforced my Empathy? through appreciation, and the journey deepened my Connectedness? to the world around me.
As I step into 2025, I am reminded of the strength within each of us. When we align with our talents, we thrive. My goal for the new year is clear: to keep living intentionally, building relationships, and thriving in health, purpose, and joy.
