We loved sitting down for an intimate dinner Sunday night during Shoptalk with some of retail’s best and brightest at Cipriani Las Vegas, with CNBC’s Gabrielle Fonrouge guiding a lively conversation.
?We heard some of our young 20something Z Suite members explain why they’re obsessed with thrifting (hint: buying secondhand is cooler than purchasing brand new) and how Facebook Marketplace is their go-to for home decor (who knew?).
?And we learned from Mastercard’s Emilie K. that if 2023 was the year of the resilient consumer, we’re now in the year of the empowered consumer (that recession everyone was worried about? It never materialized).
?Now retailers have a chance to catch their breath, focus on operating efficiently, and get back to investing in innovation.
What’s on their shopping list? Artificial intelligence (obviously) but there’s a lot of companies that are working with innovators like Contentsquare to bring their digital experience into the modern era.
