This year was not an easy one....

This year was not an easy one for people who wanted a holiday in the UK. Going abroad was difficult, if not impossible. People who saw this coming and booked their holiday early for the summer had, in most cases, what they wanted: a location and accommodation that they preferred. The second group waited long and had maybe double-booked: a holiday abroad and a holiday in the UK in case going abroad was not permitted. They had something to fall back. The third group waited and waited and were searching for UK holidays when everything was already booked out. And yes, we were also confronted with this third group: an enormous amount of requests for the summer holidays that were already fully booked. Nevertheless, everyone deserves an answer! But, you can imagine that it is not a good feeling to say ‘no’ to people how are desperately trying to "find somewhere".

For 2022 it might be that going abroad will be a bit easier but it is not a sure thing. The future is uncertain and we already see a lot of holiday guests planning their stay in the UK in 2022. Bookings for 2022 coming in faster than ever before. Will the third group wait as long as they did this year or have they learned their lesson?
