This year, Martek Lifecare and Defibtech, LLC are proud to have sponsored both the men's and women's football teams from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust.??

This collaboration aimed to promote lifesaving awareness and equipment across the region.?With every game played, Martek Lifecare and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Football Teams worked together to ensure everyone has the chance to survive a cardiac arrest.??

These amazing teams got big results on and off the pitch, and we were happy to cheer them on all the way to the ESFL Euros Tournament!?

?? Lifecare Champions at the Great North Run!??

In September, our incredible Martek Lifecare runners, Rebecca, Katie, Dan, and Lewis, took on the iconic Great North Run to raise vital funds for the Red Sky Foundation, a charity close to our hearts.?

The Red Sky Foundation received all donations to support their fantastic work. Every penny you gave to our Great North Run team went directly towards supporting the Red Sky Foundation's lifesaving work and helped to provide vital aftercare and support, giving families impacted by heart conditions hope for a brighter future.

?? Martek Lifecare champions training and teamwork raising awareness against sudden cardiac arrest and the power of defibrillators?

This year, our team, led by Rebecca Henry-Brown had a fantastic time demonstrating defibrillator familiarisation sessions in various companies across the UK. We provided CPR and defibrillator training, empowering a group of people to feel comfortable using these lifesaving tools in a cardiac emergency.??

These sessions, conducted in partnership with a few of our clients, equipped participants with;??

• Hands-on experience using a defibrillator in a simulated emergency.??

• Understanding of the steps involved in defibrillation, including CPR.??

• Confidence in recognising cardiac arrest and taking immediate action.??

Knowing CPR and how to use a defibrillator can make a critical difference.??

?? 2024 Core Memories at Martek Lifecare

In July, we went on an incredible away-day to Wildpark and Mount Cook Adventure Centre in Derbyshire! It was a day filled with fun, laughter, and team-building activities, from mastering the art of archery tag to conquering the quad bike trails to hitting the bullseye with laser clay pigeon shooting. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues outside the office, and we felt more energised and united than ever! Thanks to Wild Park Derbyshire and Mount Cook Adventure Centre for making it a memorable experience!

To wrap up another successful year, we toasted to the roaring twenties with our fabulous team at Capone's Bar in Sheffield. It was a fantastic opportunity to unwind, reflect on our achievements, and look forward to the exciting possibilities of the new year, all while dressed up in our best prohibition - Great Gatsby-style clothes!

As a company, we're also committed to giving back to the community. We're spreading some festive cheer this holiday season by donating toys to our local branch of the Salvation Army. It's a small gesture, but we hope it brings joy to those in need during the holiday season.
