The Year that was...

The Year that was...

A very happy New Year 2025! ???

As we welcome the new year, I find myself reflecting on what has truly been a remarkable year.

We live in a world now where capturing special moments is at the tips of our fingers and so, I decided to scroll through the phone and found 20 images that made 2024 a year of laughter, memories, tears and success. It was very hard to distil this to just 20! But here we go....

One of the first photos from 2024, Delilah having just turned 3 in our happy place, K'Gari. This was actually a replication of a photo that I took with Brady, 2 years earlier in the same place.

Welcoming in our Residential Leadership Team early in the year for what became a wonderful year at the College, led by these fine individuals. Most of this group have now left the College and I wish them the most fulfilling lives!

A special moment caught here. Mum practicing and both Brady and Delilah soaking it all in. I found a few of these photos actually, alongside mum reading books and sometimes the kids just watching from a distance.

The innocence and joy of just taking in the beauty of nature, in Noosa. A trip to Main Beach and the simple joy of feeling the wind in the fingertips and the water on the feet.

Whilst eating has improved, I don't want to forget these days. Sometimes, you need to bring your own twist to an occasion, make your own fun, and just do it your way!

Making time to catch up with mates. An epic scuba dive with this lot off Stradbroke Island. And a promise to do it at least once a year!

The picture says it all. Brady's first fish with his first rod up on the Sunshine Coast. A very happy boy and he is very excited about the annual K'Gari trip that we leave for tomorrow.

Hopefully these two remain close and look after each other in life. Seen here browsing the shops at The Ville, St Lucia. Brady being a great big brother.

The Easter Egg Hunt. Very lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world. Brady and Delilah were so excited searching for eggs this year on the banks of the Maiwar.

The first of many Book Week photos I recon. These two quite chuffed with their outfits!

I was unfortunately overseas for this one. A lot of excitement in the Eunson house setting up the Christmas tree this year. And of course, the whole family had matching PJ's.

The annual Noosa holiday. Playing in the sand and water with the sting rays, letting the hours drift on by.

A rare moment without children. A quite drink, courtesy of the Eddy household, with the beautiful Chelsey Eunson prior to the King's Ball.

Watching the relationship between King's College and Rotary grow has been fantastic and it was an honour to be inducted as a corporate member.

It's ICC Regatta season and the kids (and cat) loved getting up on the window in the morning to watch the boats coming down the river.

New Years Eve 2024. A great group of friends..... all without children for the evening!

The first Dubai 7's campaign. Two weeks of engagements in the UAE which were all extremely memorable. A fantastic group of current and old collegians.

The happiest guy around when the fire brigade turn up at King's! Possibly the only one....

Time getting to know staff. Here with Greg Eddy and the late Lynda Murphy. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know Lynda and she is very much missed by all.

A rare moment where we are all captured together. Moving to Brisbane has presented many challenges but also many opportunities. This photo was taken by friends and colleagues Bree and Luke Richardson after a social eveing with Residential Leaders at Felons in the City to round out the year!

As we enter 2025, may this year bring you the courage to dream bigger, the wisdom to learn from every experience, and the strength to be the best version of yourselves.
