Yeah, we’re all a bit judgy when it comes to branding, right?

Nothing wrong with that. That’s what makes us human. My mate always buys Nike trainers but I won’t be seen dead in anything but Adidas Originals, so despite both superbrands providing pretty much the same thing, we both see them totally differently.

Understanding human behaviour is a massive help when you’re building a brand because where you decide to position yourselves, will pretty much dictate who comes to see you and who doesn't.?

We reckon that the first thing you have to do is find out what your customers genuinely want before you start racing off and building pretty little logos, then work back from there, to figure out how you can match their needs with what you’re selling. That will make sure your qualities shine through.?

If you present an authentic reason why they can’t live without you, it will give you a real competitive edge. You don’t have to please everyone, just focus your efforts on motivating the right people – that will give you what you need to start owning your space and the rest will follow. You'll also be able to give your brand identity designers enough information to craft a sincere visual representation of your business. Make sense? Hope so.
