Green is the new brown.

Sustainability is integral for YCH Group. ??

We have accelerated our transition from brown to green energy since 2010.

YCH has been a forerunner on our sustainability journey. Most of our owned warehouses in Singapore, China, India, Vietnam have received green certification from LEEDS Green Building and Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark(Singapore).

?We are happy to announce that in addition to YCH’s iconic state-of-the-art facility, Supply Chain City (Singapore), as well as our Penang (Malaysia) and Chennai (India) warehouses are now completed with rooftop solar farms with close to 12.000 solar panels or 5 MWp installed, translating to more than 30% of overall savings in brown energy!

?As a regional supply chain management leader to many of the world’s leading brands across Asia Pacific, we are committed to sourcing 100 per cent renewable energy across our entire operations by 2030.

?Not limiting to just facilities, YCH is committed to champion green practices in its business and operations alongside our customers. In December 2021, YCH signed the first green partnership agreement with Procter & Gambler and announced our joint commitment to spearhead a clean, green, and sustainable supply chain together within the supply chain and logistics ecosystem.?YCH continues to strive in enabling sustainability in our operations towards a greener and more sustainable future!??

Driving Supply Chain Connectivity Across ASEAN

In the recent 94?? ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) meeting, YCH Group shared the development of Smart Growth Connect (SGConnect??), to support the successful urbanisation of ASEAN by making sure that there is a highly efficient flow of goods to feed each growing cities.

As the fifth legacy project launched by ASEAN BAC during Singapore's chairmanship of ASEAN in 2018, SGConnect?? has secured four initiatives - Vietnam SuperPort??, Phnom Penh Logistics Complex, SGConnect?? initiative in Jakarta, Indonesia, as well as collaborating with?Provincial Government of Batangas?to co-develop smart logistics infrastructure to drive supply chain and logistics connectivity to grow cities without growing pains.

Increase Digital Competency Among Senior Workers

Indeed, that was what spurred our senior workers when YCH supported the Infocomm Media Development Authority's to bring the Seniors Go Digital programme(SDO@Workplace) closer to seniors at work.

YCH's Supply Chain City, is the first advocate to pilot this new initiative, where it will serve as a community hub for not only YCH’s senior employees and tenants of SCC, but eventually the users of Jurong Innovation District (JID). Started in 2021, we are delighted to support this programme for the second time to enable and equip our workers with the skillsets to navigate the digital landscape to broaden their skillsets. ???

"This programme is very enriching and meaningful for me. This session has made things more convenient for me because I now know how to use online banking services, such as making online payments. I no longer need to walk around to search for an ATM to make a withdrawal," commented Ms Chen Xuefang, Assistant Supervisor in YCH.

Material Handler Specialist, Mr Moktar Bin Ahmad echoed similar views: The one-on-one session was very beneficial to me because I finally learned how to use the apps that have been on my phone for a long time. For instance, I learned how to set up the our corporate medial health application, making it much easier for me to access my medical benefits and file claims, as well as how to use other useful apps such as to schedule transportation and make payments." ??
