Yale Graduation

As the pomp & circumstance after graduation winds down, I take a moment to reflect and decompress on this experience. Attending Yale University was always a dream of mine. When I applied to college, I wanted to call New Haven 'home'. Fast-forward some years later and here I am, on Old Campus, being granted all rights, privileges, and insignia pertaining to the honor.
Yale School of Management was quite the ride. The school's mission, to educate leaders for business and society, certainly resonates with me. I came with a background in politics and communications which is unusual for business school, but because of SOM's mission I was able to leverage my experiences and thrive in the free exchange of ideas in an ethical, interdependent, and diverse community of faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
It was a challenging year, filled with learning experiences, uncertainty, and scholarship. I believe the inherent complexities associated with this experience have made me more aware of the context I live in and pushed me beyond my limits. Above all, it was a year to be remembered.
To those who trusted and lifted me along the way: thank you. Without your generosity, I would have not been able to achieve this academic adventure.
