Yacht cruising on board the Emerald Azzurra
On board the #Emerald Azzurra. This is a reason I join #YachtCruiseCompany. Having the privilege of selling Yacht cruising. A specific sector in our #cruise industry. Small, intimate #cruiseships. Don't get me wrong, I have been and always be enthusiastic about a cruise. The biggest ships offers a great variety of entertainment. And many, many people enjoy a cruise with shows, casino, pianobar and bigger restaurant(s). But the smaller yacht #cruises bring a more intimate experience. And when it comes to #holidays, it is all about experiences. But having dinner outside at the terrace of a #yacht ship, while crossing the Red Sea and the Channel of Suez, is different in the open air, than in a restaurant on board a bigger cruise ship. And this morning, while most of the passengers left the ship for an excursion, I had nice breakfast on deck. So planned Captain Julian Burgess, a very friendly person, when he came to me and asked if he could join. We had a great conversation about the cruise industry and the differences between ships, destinations, service and #experiences in our industry. But the experience I have now is hardly not possible on a bigger cruise ship. Or like last night, I went to the bridge and spoke to the officer at watch. He explained a lot about where we were sailing and about safety, his job and Emerald. Also only possible on a yacht side ship as the Emerald Azzurra. As always, a cruise comes to an end. And tomorrow this will be the case again. 'Only' 72 hours aboard. But what a great experience. I know I am privileged during these 72 hours. After all my cruise experiences in the past 35 years, I still be surprised what the differences we can offer as a cruise industry to our customers. And great that I still get surprised by every new cruise again. And in a few months Emerald Cruises will get delivered the Emerald Sakara, the sister ship of the Azzurra. I am sure that she will have many positive surprises as well for the passengers she welcomes on board.
