The Office of the Public Protector received a complaint of Maladministration in the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock from a civil servant (Name withheld).

The complainant alleged that, he was put on suspension for more than two years and placed on half salary without following the laid down procedures.

The Public Protector conducted investigations in the matter and the findings were in favour of the complainant. Working together with the Ministry, the suspension was lifted and the complainant was reinstated.

Further, the victim was placed back on full salary and the case was closed as redressed.
