Long time readers will be aware that I share one fun fact a month as a reward for making it all the way to the end, so here it is: there is a common misconception that all of the blood vessels in the human body would reach 100,00km (wrapping twice around the equator if lined up), but this source dates back to an estimate made in the 1920s. The real length is around 9,000-19,000km - still pretty impressive!
