Xref.com at RecFest 2017

As the saying goes, the sunshine warms the soul and given the scorching heat last Thursday, spirits were high coming into Xref’s first RecFest. Hawker House proved to be the idyllic location, accommodating the 800 in-house recruitment professionals with ease in a tropical setting that vacuumed into a truly festive vibe.

RecFest itself was a refreshing change to other recruitment events with the emphasis very much on the festival side of the event creating a casual and upbeat atmosphere where like-minded recruitment professionals could educate themselves on the latest trends and network with the industries leading tech innovators.

Xref were perched up on table 31 in the main stage arena and we had a great display littered with a swag of new merchandise covered with our new logo. No doubt the hero of our table was the Xref branded cupcakes which proved to be a winner in filling up our round table.

On the speaking front, Paul Harrison from Carve Consulting spoke with the same conviction and passion as he did at our last London HR Disruptors Meetup, but it was one of the founding father figures of online recruiting, Keith Robinson who stole the show in detailing his courage and resilience in overcoming his health issues to pioneer on achieving his goals.

As the official part of the proceedings concluded around 3.30pm, the sun peaked, the cocktails continued to flow and the networking opportunities were plentiful as a result.
