xAPI Camp @ DevLearn 2019 is All About Putting xAPI to Work for YOU

Have we learned a LOT about xAPI in 2019. I can't wait for this year's xAPI Camp team to drop some super useful knowledge on how to really put xAPI to work.

In the past year, a handful of vendors, consultants, managers and learning professionals just like you approached some really tough challenges with xAPI to develop insights. Building online communities, building skills to professional standards of practice, simulations to support improved patient outcomes, employee retention… when we convene together on Tuesday, October 22, we’re going to be part of a significant learning experience stemming from real case studies, real people struggling to make impacts and demonstrate outcomes and using xAPI to help.

The goal of every xAPI Camp is to demonstrate what’s possible not just what most people do in getting their start working with xAPI; what you can do with xAPI once you have your sea legs (so to speak). Even since the last xAPI Camp in March, there've been hard-won advances made, and learning those lessons -- painful as they can be -- have been fun to learn all the same.

The most exciting aspect of xAPI Camps is what the participants bring to the party. Your questions, your projects, your concerns and your ideas are really what drive our activities and conversations through the day. I'm so excited friends and colleagues old and new are going to help me deliver the goods for y'all.

Just what are those goods? Well, here's the plan so far :)

2:45p – 4:00p Breakout Groups: Prepare for Your Next Step with xAPI

  • xAPI 101. You have learned what’s possible with xAPI. Do you need a firm grasp of the basics? This track starts at square one.
  • Design Jam. Do you have an idea that you’d like to map out with experts in the room? Something to take back to the office that will get people talking about the big challenges you need to tackle? You ideate; we’ll facilitate.
  • Shop Talk. Do you want a deep dive on a particular topic or question? Do you want to play with a demo of something you heard about today? Do you need to do some real planning and identify next steps? This track is for you.

4:00p – 4:15p Reflections and Closing

The focus at xAPI Camp is on action. We’ll share what we each learned and find support for our next actions. Final questions, thoughts, plans, and/or shameless plugs will be shared, and then we will bid adieu.

Registration is still open, but it fills up pretty fast (usually capped around 100 participants). If you're going to be in Vegas and want to nerd out about super hard xAPI stuff... I definitely want to hang with you!

See y'all soon!
