Wyatt Jewellery - July 2023
As we approach August, something of a slow-news month in terms of jewellery, as people focus on their holidays, you'll see over on?our blog?that we are featuring some inspiring designers that you may or may not have heard of.?The best jewellery is after all an art form and to be part of the ongoing conversation one needs to keep inspired by the work of other artists.
We are also excited to have a fantastic new camera set-up for photographing our jewels.?You should see the difference over on our?Instagram page, so do follow us if you don't already.
Ruby or Not?
The surging insistence of the chorus of the memorable 2007 hit by the Kaiser Chiefs is actually a pretty good description of the gemstone.?
They are bold and striking with a hue that can range from vibrant pink to rich blood-red, unavoidably the colour of romance and passion and victory. They insist on being noticed.
Because of this, it is not a gem for the faint of heart. Red makes a statement and we are sometimes asked by clients if Ruby is the best choice for a bespoke piece.

Birthstone of the Month
August is the month of Peridot. You may not have heard of Peridot as it is relatively rare. It is a lime-green coloured gemstone that is found in volcanic rocks.
Pictured is one of our favourite Peridot pieces, inspired by Strictly's own Darcey Bussell. You can read the story on our website.
Available Jewels
This wonderful green gem is a 1.55ct Demantoid Garnet from Namibia. It earned its name as the highly refractive nature of this type of Garnet was comparable to a Diamond.?Green Garnets are an excellent substitute for Emeralds as Emeralds can be soft both in terms of their durability and in look.
This particular gem is available, so should you want to claim it – drop us a line.
And that is all for July. If you would like to create a bespoke piece of jewellery, why not book a no-obligation 15-minute conversation??Visit our website?or send a message via LinkedIn.
