We are back from our 6th trip to Ukraine. It took us again 8 days with 2 days buffer, and like in August: We went all the way to Kharkiv (a trip, that takes us about 2.400km across Europe and back). Looking back, this trip however was much smoother than previous transfers, especially because we had "quiet nights". This time, Michael Sylvester were joined by two more SAP colleagues again who drove with us to Lviv. We took took two vehicles, a Nissan pickup and a VW minivan, to Lviv. Extraordinarily smooth border crossing this time.
Michael and I continued to Kyiv, where we met Nadia Denysiuk and Mariia Zivert from the Charity Foundation "Dead Lawyers Society" and completed the paperwork. We also delivered boxes and bags full of hospital supplies, including a external fixation device, hygienic covers for hospital beds and an amazing donation of 15 refurbished laptops that are more than welcome in the frontline hospitals.
Details of our trip can be found here www.pickup4ukraine.org shortly.
We continued to Kharkiv and handed over the two vehicles to two different units of the ЗСУ. We were happy to catch the night train heading back west.
Again, we say thank you to all the generous donors who helped us gather the necessary funding for the vehicles and who donated the much needed materials.
Earlier than expected, and with lots of help from the amazing Kateryna Miagka ???? , we have been able to raise funds for the next vehicles: Two pickup trucks and a 4x4 SUV have been requested. Please consider donating.
