WWW - Wool, Water & Wellness: A Day of Water Magic

Helena Eyesteinsdóttir Jakobsen from Enjoy Faroe Islands DMC has created a program which is all about WATER and it's interconnections with everything we do.

It is a program that connects delegates or incentive participants with the most precious element on our planet – WATER, in all its forms, as a source of health, pleasure, enjoyment. In the Faroe Islands, water is everywhere around you, above you, below you. Even the clean air around you can be humid, as can be felt when strong winds are blowing. A good reason to connect, learn and enjoy an abundance of water as a gift from mother nature.

The program includes all elements of WWW - water, wellness, and wool.

• Starting with a Lunch at the old fish packing house in Sandavágur where stories will be told about the role that the house had and has today for our fish exporting and packing, along with the social impact it has.
• Hike to Tr?lanípan (Slave Cliff) and the largest waterfall in the Faroe Islands, B?sdalafossur.
• Visit to the new Arctic Oceanarium (not opened yet) to complete the day's water centred experiences with an introduction of the ocean habitat around the islands and the research done in the Faroe Islands.
• Farm visit where the farmer invites you into the stables and tells you about their family history, the sheep, the food, and how they make their wool. A hike in their land surrounded by different lakes, makes you also learn how the drinking water system on the islands works. ?Top it off with a fashion show, where you get to see lots of different designs and patterns. During the visit at the farm there will also be a demonstration of the Faroese sheep wool, why it does clean itself, the usefulness of the sheep for meat and wool, and a knitting demo to explain the purpose of the different patterns in Faroese Sweaters.
• And to spoil the guests after so much nature, a visit at the brand-new spa at Hotel F?royar with a special HdroHealth lecture and application will encourage your guests to continue with their engagement for water and their own health. The new spa will open later this year.
