#WWW Update

#WWW Update

Hi women architect friends,

I have been so overwhelmed with the positive and heartfelt feedback I received after the inaugural #WWW event, so thank you so much. As a Chapter we realise that we have tapped into something quite amazing. We plan to continue the momentum with conversations through Linked In, and with regular events for you to meet, network, learn and engage. Please invite your architect friends to join the #WWW forum so we can reach as many of you as possible wherever you live!

Last night Emma Williamson and I had a lively chat about our careers, family and “other stuff”, as we interviewed each other at WA’s first Parlour Session hosted by our sponsors Brickworks and AWS. Thank you to all those that attended and special thanks to Justine Clark from Parlour (@_parlour). This event will be repeated next year if you missed out.  Justine has very kindly offered to help the #WWW group including writing some pieces for us to share.

As a Chapter, we are able to offer complimentary tickets to our end-of-year party on Thurs 30 Nov (however please ring Kim at the Institute to register, for catering purposes). I really encourage you to take up this offer as it is a wonderful opportunity to engage with other architects at all levels of their career path. Next year we plan to offer entry to individual Chapter events for non-members, so please keep an eye on my Instagram account (@suzannehuntarchitect) and the Institutes (@architects _wa) as well as the #WWW group to see what’s coming up. I’ve also added the details of all registered architects from our event to the Institute’s E-News email list which comes out weekly and provides an overview of upcoming events. Please feel free to unsubscribe if you wish.

Behind the scenes we are working to address the issues we discussed at the #WWW event, in particular, the concerns with regard to some of the ABWA’s policies.

I welcome your input so please stay in touch and engage with the group or contact me directly if you would like us to address an issue or run an event.

Let’s continue the momentum!

Best Wishes

Suzie
