WWITOS IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!

WWITOS IS ON FIRE!!!!!!!!!

"WWITOS? What's that?" For those who don't know WWITOS is Women Walking In Their Own Shoes!!!!!  This year's WWITOS event, on October 7/8, 2016, was brought to you by none other than Tawawn Lowe, CEO of Tawawn Lowe Enterprises and Founder of Women Walking In Their Own Shoes.

If you were in the building you know firsthand without a doubt how wonderful the past 48 hours were! If you were not in attendance read on because you have so much to look forward to next year. Strap on your seatbelt for the twist and turns of fearless assessments, tough love, accountability, breakthroughs and well earned accomplishments! Here we go!

Live from the Doubletree Hotel in Silver Spring fully equipped with Valet to insure a hassle free arrival was a very necessary event. Upon entering I personally was greeted by friendly faces and was instructed to take the elevator to the 2nd floor and enjoy! In a flash I was surrounded by movers and shakers, women on a mission, where there was a place for everything and everything was in its place.

My lasting first impression of the 2016 Women Walking In Their Own Shoes Conference was First Class! I was truly in a place where it was unspoken yet undeniable that excellence is the minimum. This event was unapologetic about giving all in attendance the very best of what it had to offer from start to finish but I digress!

Don't want to get ahead of myself...first things first. LOL The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Everyone's nice and approachable. On the right there's the conference room set up for transforming lives in the best way possible via transforming mindsets.

This room was spacious yet intimate fully equipped with a DJ that couldn't help but have you tapping a toe. Oh...who am I kidding?! You just wanted to break out and give it all you had. LOL The music was AWESOME!

Their were rows and rows of tables aka "work stations" for all the work that would lie ahead for the attendees. Atop were Swag Bags for everyone, full of an array of goodies to make life sweet, along with flawless colorful programs/workbooks and a bottle of water reminding you of your passion, purpose and power!

On the left was a room full of vendors with yummy fragrances, jewelry, handbags, blingy tees and more!!! Between the 2 rooms was a cozy sitting area, tasty finger foods & a WWITOS backdrop made for one thing and one thing only...PICTURES!!!!! With a 2 camera wielding photographer on deck this was gonna be a night to be captured beautifully.

In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...it's 7 p.m. and officially time to get this conference kicked off in a real way! First up, the emcee for the evening, yours truly, warmed up the crowd with love, light, positive vibes and yes...poetry! Next up was Praise & Worship dancer Michelle Tabor who moved the audience with her rhythmic storytelling and later was joined in yet another moving performance by Elijah Butler who was simply wonderful. All of this was a lovely foundation for an evening that was sure to take your breath away!

Leading us all up to the moment we've been waiting for, the reason we all gathered together, the woman behind the movement and the message...CEO, #1 Amazon Bestselling Author, Founder, Certified Life Coach & Speaker Tawawn Lowe!!!! With poise and confidence she enters the musically filled room and takes the stage and says "Get up out your seats and dance!!!" We all shook it until we were satisfied or out of breath...whichever one came first. LOL

Tawawn celebrated and honored 3 women whose journeys inspire. Those women are Sylvia Traymore Morrison, the first African American female impressionist to emerge on the entertainment scene in the 70's, Monique Smith,  a woman who survived being  kidnapped and abused as a child with no recollection of who her family is who now thrives as a mother of 4 and the Founder of Known as Monique, and     Gail Crowder, Founder and President of Bring Sexy Back to the Marriage (BSB). She honored them for their strength and bravery, for their courage and persistence, for their love and support. Each of these trailblazing women were presented with a personalized crystal award of honor!

With the energy and enthusiasm at an all time high it was truly time to get down to business and that's exactly what happened. Throughout the night we were questioned and challenged to be our best selves. There were smiles, there were tears, there were the lies we tell ourselves and there was the truth staring us all right in the face.

We were encouraged to ask questions. We were urged to step outside of the box. We were asked to introduce old friends and to make new ones. We were instructed to give ourselves permission to be great! We were "loved on" this weekend...bottom line.

There was not a dry eye in the house as a very brave & courageous woman shared her testimony. One of a single mother of 4 on a single income, a teen that comes to her pregnant, death of a loved one, repossession of a car...the only transportation the family had, loss of a job & residence, a seizure, a stroke, loss of speech and mobility...told by medical professsionals that she may never speak or walk again all in one years time, 2012 to be exact.

On the other side of all that calamity was her breakthrough that manifest itself in the form of a healthy woman who can once again walk, talk and dance but that's not all. She now has an even better job, 3 cars, a 5 bedroom house for her and her family and yes, the once single mother of 4 now has a husband! She is a happy newlywed whose better half was in the rear of the room showering her with love and support.

She too expressed herself boldly via music and dance. I feel confident in saying that her testimony helped, inspired and enlightened us. She danced "My story may not be your story...but if you're happy that you made it through too join me and say I made it and if you see me cry it's just a sign that I'm alive." It was breathtaking. Hands down amazing!

This event was nothing short of a Master Class for those who want to live their best lives every day all the time. I loved every second, minute, hour of this weekend! It was truly fun, exciting, therapeutic, informative, uplifting, supportive and passionate! This was my very first WWITOS Conference and I can assure you it will not be my last!!!
