WWETT Show 10 Year Anniversary!

Well, that went fast! It was my first time at WWETT Show for three years (thanks to the pandemic), made all the more special because it marked 10 years since we first rocked up at the then 'Pumper Show' in 2013. Things have changed a lot at Picote since then, we have a few more products and (thankfully) more people working the booth, which in itself has seen a huge upgrade since those first days where we were working out of the smallest space we could get. Recognise the perspex box? We have it at our Sandhurst Training Centre, it's still a great way to demo reinstatements! Picote has always been known for live demos, attracting huge crowds with our signature Millers and latest innovations, wherever we go.

As you can see from this photo, we still have many of the original tools that helped put us on the map in the first few years, like the award-winning Smart Cutter?, Twister Lateral Cutters, Cyclone and Original Chains. Like the logo in the background, many of these tools have had a refresh, including the Midi Miller, but are still recognisable as the Picote high-speed cleaning and reinstatement tools that we all know and love today.

It is always amazing to catch up with our customers at the show, some of whom have been with us since the beginning. It's also wonderful to showcase new innovations and this year we had a bumper crop, from the Stateside launch of Picote Aqua, battery powered CIPP lining equipment, Pro Packers and Connection Collar 2.0 to the new Xpress Coating System, which was a real star of the show.

With significant time, labour and money savings, the new coating system is faster than our original system, with less waste. Cure in less than one hour between coats! Mixing at the tip means that you can just cap off the end and use the resin in the reel for your next job, with no need to dispose of the delivery hose (except in DN32-50 / 1 1/4-2" pipes).
