A common term used over my lifetime has been concept of community control. It was established to build community autonomy and advocacy approaches from the late 80's to bridge advocacy gaps. But for decades many of these organizations and government funded third-party providers have struggled to close the social equality gaps and improve outcomes for humanity. The failure to evolve community control models over the decades have contributed to intergenerational service dependency cycles.

The new era of digital identification is here and is set to severely impact first nations and the underserved communities locked out of technology. Particularly, if forward innovation is not realized by community control organizations or government funded service providers. The new world of digital data sovereignty offers new hope delivering self-worth, cultural value empowered through a digital diverse ID. Embedding genuine inclusion using ancient technology adapted digitally - like never before!

We believe that for communities to grow they need to grow people first, and not the organizations who control them. Data sovereignty is such an impactful opportunity for digital self-determination (DSD).
