The Wrong Image for Your Website

Do you recognize these terms: DPI, low res, ALT, SRC, href??
If you do, you are probably a web designer, if you don't, then you probably shouldn't be messing around with your website until you do. They all refer to the images on your site. One huge way that your website can kill your business is to have the wrong sized, blurry, stretched, wrong formatted, non ALT included images on your site. If the images are too big, they will take too long to load, if they are too small but you try to "resize" them manually they will look blurry or fuzzy. Have you seen an image that has a white, square background on top of a dark background? You may not know what IS wrong, but you certainly know SOMETHING is wrong. The impression these things give to your first time visitor is "unprofessional." And they probably won't give you a second thought as they click away to find someone else who can help them. The moral of the story is: you do what you do for your business because you are an expert at that, leave the web design to actual web designers.
