In this generation, being a feminist is kind of taking criticism, and as a girl, sometimes I feel to not say that I support girls or women; they give me the tag of feminist. Personally, I don’t like tags on me.
But in my thoughts, feminism’s real meaning is not what you’re facing or asking a definition for. In college time, I used to create short films or kind of documentaries, so My sir asked me to write a short story about feminism. He asked me what, according to my thoughts and perspective, feminism is?
At that time, I really got confused to what to say; like I knew what I felt or thought about it, but I didn’t know what right way should I choose because I may not seem a critical kind a person.
Two days later, when I recited my short story, my sir just asked me Why I think like this, from where my thoughts come like this?
Then I told him that Feminism is not only about females; it mostly talks about equality on a certain level. Equality with men, Equality with women too. I personally feel that when I speak about Indian society, the wrong side of feminism and discrimination came from women only.
If our older women, mothers or elder sisters, or whoever has not taught family men or her own son how to treat women, how to behave well with them, how to respect them, and men should keep limits from childhood. Hence, women get criticism in the name of feminism.
Every mother should teach their boys, not only daughters, how to be well-mannered in front of the public or elders, how to sit, how to laugh, what to wear, what to do, when to go and when to come home. This teaching is important, I do agree, not only for daughters but for their sons too.

Only from childhood, men should be taught so in the future, they will not rape someone’s daughter; if a boy sees how his father beaten her mother, how her mother taught her sister to what to do and what to wear and what is appropriate to living in this society.
Later, that boy becomes a father, brother, or husband. Only then will he treat his sister, wife, and daughter nicely. Female is the start of these criticism and social evils which is happening to women themselves.
I know it’s not sound good to hear as a woman, but it’s a fact, girls. Stop this criticism and start teaching your brother how to treat a girl nicely.
It’s my thought, guys, that feminism is not only about women’s empowerment; it is about equality on a certain level without any discrimination.
My thoughts, If you think any line or any thought, you can comment on this post.
If you’ve opposite thoughts, then I love to know about it.
