The Writing is On The Wall for "Once In Always In."
This bit of regulatory ridiculousness is almost over. The Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental group, said the decision “is among the most dangerous actions that the Trump EPA has taken yet against public health,” proving once again that this group, and others like it, do not hesitate to make statements based solely on political biases without considering how ridiculous and illogical they are. Maybe we should make all the area sources subject to the major source NESHAPs for their industry just for the fun of it, would that make the NRDC happy? Here it is:
To be clear, NESHAP in-applicability to smaller area sources will not affect emissions one bit, all this is doing is eliminating redundant paperwork submitted every six months to prove these facilities are below the limits, when their federally enforceable permit limits already do that.
Ironically, many times the inflexibility of the NESHAP rules prevents companies from taking steps to improve their processes and reduce emissions at the same time, because those steps may not fall within the rubric of the rules.
Voluntary pollution prevention initiatives go much further in not only reducing air emissions, but also reducing waste generation, energy consumption and many other negative environmental aspects, all at the same time.
Easy and Economical
