Greetings!! A warm Welcome and Heartfelt Gratitude to the amazing response to my last blog '3 Mistakes we are making on Social Media as a Professional'.
In continuation of the same blog here I am with simple yet effective tips on Writing a Powerful Bio on Social Media.
Today, much of my content will be revolving around LinkedIn reason
1) LinkedIn is a professional platform
2) LinkedIn gives word limit of 2000 words bio compared to Facebook which is limited to 101 words and then same applies to Instagram which is limited to 150 words and Twitter which is limited to 160.
3) Who ever comes on LinkedIn is mostly bound to read the summary compared to other platforms.
You can use the same technique for writing bio for other social media...
Just remember, the shorter they are, the better, so people take action by reading your bio and are excited to get connected to you !!

Our Bio or Summary on any social media platform is to create a connection with the reader.
It has to be so simple that they can understand what we are offering.
So rather than saying 'what we are', always write it from the point, 'what we can offer to others'.
1) What can I do?
While writing the social media profile, always focus on what can you do or what are you doing. As I said in the earlier post that, Linked is not just a mere platform for resume display...so do not copy paste a segment of your resume. Rather than that, sit and analyze what are you offering to your target segment!! Then write a good statement clearly stating what you can offer. The more the clarity, the better it will become for people to approach you and connect with you.
2) Short and Simple
Rather than writing a lengthy profile which people may not read completely, keep it short and up to the point. Use as simple language as you can. So for example, LinkedIn is a global platform and there are many professionals who do not have good command over English. If I am writing my profile in a language that is too complicated or too advanced, I can loose audience from other countries who may not be so good in English.
3) Benefits & Invitation
Keep a segment in your summary which tells about the benefits of working with you.So everyone who reads, knows what can they expect from you when they hire you professionally. Also, keep your message such that, you are inviting people to connect to you.
Create that warmth in the write up, where people even if they are not your target segment, shall love to follow you or connect with you.
That's all for now...
More in my next.
Abundant benefits may you reap from these. ????
