Writing is a habit that can be picked up by practice.
Writing is like a mental exercise that we have to practice regularly. As we go to a gym to do physical exercise, we may consider writing a mental workout that may be carried out following a routine.
We wish to consider writing as:
- A “mental workout”
- An exercise consisting of flexing the “mental muscles”
We also wish to draw an analogy between mental exercise and physical exercise, which is really:
- A physical workout
- An exercise consisting of flexing the physical muscles
One can’t suddenly go to the gym and develop muscles in a day
Building muscles by physical exercise takes time. One can’t build muscles by exercising only a few days. One has to go to the gym and learn the basics of physical exercise.
Regular practice of physical exercises is essential to build a muscular and powerful human body
It may take a few months’ physical workout sessions to develop a well-built body. The longer the practice, the better will be the bodybuilding. Regular practice of bodybuilding exercises can yield the best results.
Can one suddenly start writing and become an expert writer within a few days?
One can’t become an expert writer within a few days. It may require a long time to acquire writing skills by practicing extensive writing sessions. One has first to learn the basic art of writing by practice.
It may take writing practice for several months or even a couple of years to develop writing skills
Extensive practice of writing sessions can slowly develop writing skills. The longer the practice, the better the incumbent acquiring the writing skills. It may take months of writing practice to develop writing skills.
Practicing physical exercise in a gym guided by a certified physical trainer yield better results
A well-built physique is possible to have by adopting regular freehand exercises by swimming, jogging, etc. A book on yoga may be handy to help self-learning a few common asanas that can keep one fit and healthy.
A yoga teacher or a physical trainer can complement to improve the naturally built human physique
Carrying out physical exercise under a certified physical trainer or yoga teacher is always better. Systematic gym workout sessions guided by an expert coach can’t be replaced by self-learning.
Attending writing workshops may complement the self-learned writing skills
Some of us are gifted with a natural aptitude for writing. They have a natural love for writing anything. We can practice writing and develop some love for writing. One has to get into the habit of loving the art of writing.
A professional writing coach can complement to improve the naturally developed writing power of a human
Attending some writing workshops by professional coaches may boost the writing power. The writing coaches may only show the best-known examples. But they can’t make someone a writer who is mentally unwilling to become a writer.
Consider writing as a mental workout that can instill a love for writing from inside the mind
Writing is a skill developed by regular practice. We have to bring love to carve out the writing skill. Unless we love to flex the mind, the writing power remains underdeveloped. There is a similarity of building muscles by rigorous physical exercise.
The act of loving something good is a positive habit that one has to instill inside the mind by regular practice.
Keep thinking about writing from the inner core of the mind. Carry on flexing the “mental muscles,” and you would develop a love for bringing words into written pieces. Speak inside the mind without sound and let the words come out from your fingertips.
Be a writer from the inside of your mind
Can you be a compelling writer? It all depends on your willingness to write. The willingness gives birth to will power. Believe me or not, I am now writing whatever is coming to my mind. It is like pouring water from a pot.
The mind is the pot full of words. There is no limit to thinking and discovering new thoughts. It is like the “Water of India” magic. The water pot of the saint is never exhausted.
Our thinking mind is a never exhausting tank that is always full of unspoken words and ideas
Bringing it altogether
Writing is a skill developed by a continual process of creating content. Nobody is a born writer. Some humans only have a natural aptitude for writing.
Writing is like a mental exercise that we have to practice regularly. As we go to a gym to do physical exercise, we may consider writing a mental exercise that may be carried out following a routine.
Most of us have to develop the skill by regular practice of writing. Above the skill, we need a love for writing from the inside of our mind. The mind is like a pot full of words. There is no limit to thinking and discovering new thoughts.
We need to keep flexing the “mental muscles” and continue pouring words from the inside of our inner core.
