Writing Goals
The first month of January is almost over. Did you keep your writing goals? Did you set any writing goals?
When we set goals for our writing, it keeps us productive and moving forward on our writing journey. Things can happen and before we know it, days will go by and we have not written much of anything. One thing we can’t get back is time. Once it passes, that’s it. Setting goals, along with having a schedule to complete these goals sets us up for success.
Writers write. Professional writers write almost every day. Some writers use word counts. They will write a certain number of words every day. In breaking their story or work into a word amount helps to bot be overwhelmed with the thought of getting it all done now.
Whatever goal you choose to use, having a goal will be of great benefit to you and to your audience. Some people desire to write a book in six months or ninety days. When that goal is set, there will be daily goals to write in order to meet it.
If you are wondering how people work every day, take care of their families, other responsibilities and still have time to write, most writers set writing goals.
