On the 9th to 11th October 2023, PhD candidates gathered at Ossendrecht Police Academy for a dedicated 3-day writing retreat. The Netherlands consistently demonstrates a dedication to innovation, especially within the public service sector. Many professionals, deeply engaged in their duties, are also encouraged and supported in pursuing their PhD ambitions. Such endeavors not only foster individual advancement but also strengthen the organisation's mission and position as a leaders in innovative policing.

?The 3-day retreat symbolised more than an event; it represented a combined devotion to knowledge, innovation, and service, mirroring the Dutch police's comprehensive strategy to modern challenges like cybercrime, AI, and forensic science.
