I was delighted that my poem Tempestatem significat, which was inspired by reading Roman agricultural writers such as Columella and Palladius to develop my allotment, was shortlisted for The Latin Programme Poetry Prize 2024: https://www.thelatinprogramme.co.uk/poetryprize2024. The Latin Programme is an educational charity which supports the teaching of Latin in state primary schools across London and so affords opportunities to explore the endurance of Rome's legacy in today's world.
