Some countries are in the endemic phase of the Covid-19 or Coronavirus pandemic. I guess many people are already had enough of that terms. Believe it or not, we did our best to survive in well-being and businesses. Most businesses were "forced" to adapt the Digital Marketing approach to their marketing journey. Some of them may know about the existence of Digital Marketing, some may have a bit of knowledge, and some might have the ability to keep up with the trends.
As a writer or an author, I found it hard for them to adapt to the new changes and maintain the flow of their career or maybe hobby journey. During the pandemic, we mostly spent hours on phones, especially when it came to social media. Being present on social media might be best, but how to survive the competition?
1. Set your goals
As a writer or an author, you write books to share your ideas and the majority, to sell them. It is easy to make people engage with your content or have a discussion on your blog's comment section. If you are a writer who shares your thoughts to be heard and engaged, you need to always keep your eyes on the trends and people's interests. I think this one is easier to keep the writing journey survive as people love quotes, intellectual ideas, or discussions.
But if you are an author who sells books online and for bookstore publications, you are targeting a large audience. You want people to recognize your work, acknowledge your credibility as a professional writer, and make sales every day. You will need a few solid strategies and goals for that. You will need a solid online presence; you need to be consistent in updating your followers about your products, your books, and things related to your career as an author. The most important thing is your upcoming projects for your readers. The pressure is real, but with Digital Marketing, everything is possible. You need to do it in the right way.
2. Choose the right platforms for your works
People are mostly eager to use all social media platforms available. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitch, Discord, etc. It is good that you try to find the audience from all the platforms, but you need to be more specific on who your target is. Not all social media fits your products and goals. You need to figure out many aspects if you want to grab their attention and interest for a long time because people get bored quickly, so you need solid strategies and be creative for your prosperous and ongoing writing journey.

3. Get used to the Digital Marketing world in-depth
I am positive that the majority did take some online courses about Digital Marketing during the pandemic. Digital Marketing is one of the most popular courses at that time, and it is still at the top. People are starting to realize the importance of Digital Marketing today. Besides upskilling and gaining new knowledge, people enrolled in the courses to salvage their business and start a career in Digital Marketing. Plus, working remotely is a trend now.
So, what if you didn't try to learn more about Digital Marketing during the pandemic because all you want is to make your old strategies work as best as you can? Well, there is no stopping learning. Start now and practice what you have learned. The Digital Marketing world is wide. There are many things you need to know and catch up on to compete for your career success.
That's all for today. I am glad that we are back to the everyday life that we have lost for over two years. Many things have been changed, and we definitely have to move forward. I was thinking of making this as a series. What do you think I should do next? Which profession should I cover?
