WRITER’S CRAMPS AND HOMEOPATHY

GELSEMIUM
Writer’s cramps with trembling and weakness of hands. There are cramps in muscles of forearms. Cramps appears in fingers and hands while writing. Fatigue after slight effort. Lack of co-ordination of muscles, muscles refused to obey the will. Complete relaxation and prostration of the whole muscular system with motor paralysis.
MAGNESIUM PHOSPHORICUM
Cramps of writers, piano or violin players. ?Crampy contraction of fingers. The pain is cutting, stabbing, shooting or stitching in nature. Pain better from warmth or pressure over the hand. Cramps from prolonged exertion and prolonged use of fingers.
CIMICIFUGA RACEMOSA
Cimicifuga is best for writer’s cramps with trembling of hands and fingers while writing. There is stiffness and contracted feeling in hands. Cold sweat on hands.
FERRUM IODATUM
A specific remedy for writer’s cramp
KALI PHOSPHORICUM
Writer’s cramps with paralytic weakness. Slight exertion causes cramping of fingers and hands. There numbness in finger tips.

Silicea is best for paralytic weakness of forearm. There is trembling of hands and fingers when writing. Contraction of muscles of hands with rigidity. Coldness or sweating of hands occur.
