Writers Block - Get Out and Get Going
Writing can be a lonely activity. The writer often squirrels himself into a quiet corner so they won’t be disturbed.
But often, that is not enough, and the writer may feel that words are not flowing, feel listless and unproductive. This is a writer's block.
Some writers may question whether writer's block is real or if it is some psychological mumbo jumbo. Famous authors like Maya Angelou, John Steinbeck and Jhumpa Lahiri have talked about it; we take them at their word and look for a solution rather than brushing it aside.
Most writers face a block sometimes in their writing careers.
It is a temporary phase. As a writer, you can do a lot to shorten the phase of writer’s block.
Here are some steps you can follow to overcome writer's block
Forget about writing for a while, focus your attention on your other hobbies or work.
? Pack up your writing and go for a walk – fresh air helps clear your head. ? Spend time chatting and socializing with friends and family. ? Read interesting books and magazines ? In short, take your mind away from writing and immerse yourself in something you enjoy. ? Relax and don’t obsess about how good the manuscript is going to be.
